Offshore (Thailand) – 491 – ANZSCO 511112 Program/Project Administrator – 75 pts pre-nom / 90 after nom – which states are realistic?
Hi all, I’m offshore (Thailand) and starting the process for subclass 491. Looking for feedback on feasibility and which states (if any) are realistic for ANZSCO 511112 Program or Project Administrator.
Profile Offshore: currently work in Thailand Age: 36 Qualification: Bachelor Occupation: ANZSCO 511112 (aiming for VETASSESS upcoming weeks) Work history: ~8 years hospitality, then Project Coordinator since Jan 2022 Australia employment: none English: aiming Superior (20 pts) Partner: claiming partner English (5 pts) only NAATI CCL: planning (5 pts)
Points Pre-nomination (EOI points): 70 Age 25 Bachelor 15 English 20 Partner English 5 NAATI 5
After 491 nomination: +15 = 85
Skilled employment points: currently 0. If VETASSESS deducts ~2 years (common), I’m estimating I’d only reach 5 pts (3 years overseas skilled) around Jan 2027 (depending on assessed “skilled from” date).so by Jan 2027, become 90 pts.
Questions 1.For offshore 491, which states are currently the most realistic options for 511112? 2. Is 511112 generally a low-priority / hard occupation for state nomination offshore? 3. Given I may not have employment points until ~2027, is 491 still realistic, or should I reconsider strategy (occupation/state focus/timing)? 4. If anyone has seen recent outcomes for offshore applicants with similar occupations, what did states seem to prioritize (points vs years of experience vs sector)? 5. I am working in international brand company, i think EOI does not care about this fact?
Happy to provide more detail if needed. Thanks. I understand state criteria change frequently; I’m looking for recent trends/experiences rather than guarantees.
