Strange experience on LSD

Question

Last week I took a full dose of LSD and unexpectedly noticed that my tinnitus seemed completely absent. Normally I reach a state of habituation where it doesn’t bother me much, but if I intentionally focus on it, I can always hear it. I tend to notice it most at night if I forget to turn on my noise machine and my mind is quiet, though even then it’s manageable.

However, about nine hours into the LSD experience(after a concert) I realized that no matter how hard I tried to focus on the tinnitus, I couldn’t perceive it at all. It felt entirely absent.

I understand this is purely anecdotal, but it raises an interesting question about whether LSD’s effects on specific brain networks might temporarily alter the neural circuits involved in tinnitus perception. Has anyone studied this?
