I have a MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max 32GB from 2021. I am noticing the battery runs out fast which is starting to become a problem because I don't have regular access to a power outlet throughout the day. So it needs a battery replacement which should be free according to AppleCare+ (see images 1 & 2). The MacBook has a few other issues as well like minor damage to the edge of the screen (see image 3) from sliding off the bed onto the floor. Additionally, last October I drenched my MacBook with a partially-opened water bottle in my bag to the point that it was fully soaked and water was flowing out of the chassis. It still works, nonetheless, presumably fine. The storage is also almost full 853 / 995 GB used (see image 4); perhaps that changes the stakes? 

**Constraints:**  

* ***Time*** *-* It's the middle of the semester and I need my computer everyday during the week to do assignments, run models on specific software, etc. I can not go more than 1 maybe 2 days without my computer.
* ***Budget*** *-* $1000. I don't necessarily want to replace my MacBook with a newer model right now if it's currently meeting my needs performance-wise. 

**Questions:**

* How long does a battery replacement take with AppleCare+?
* Will they just replace the entire device with a fresh one? If so, what claim should I make? How long will this process take?
* Does the likely water damage invalidate any of my claims for service? 
* Should I backup my computer to the cloud?
* Should I wait until the semester is over to do any service on my MacBook given my time constraint?

What is my most optimal AppleCare+ service option under a time constraint for a MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max 32GB (2021) that needs a battery replacement, has minor screen damage, and possible water damage, but is nonetheless currently working fine.
