Best Plants for High Rise Balconies with no direct sunlight

I came across a bunch of people debating about the title topic. They some of them live on floors as high as 15th, 18th, 21st etc and have balconies that face north-west and get mostly reflected indirect sunlight or one hour of sunset light. Some of them said their fan palms and aloe plants were doing well.
