Was born in the city so I know the areas which are close to my interests. For this time, I booked The Regnant in Nirala Nagar. Have attended a couple of events here both social and corporate earlier and always wanted to check out the stay.

Turned out to be a great choice. In my opinion, the location is the best draw. 5 minutes from Hazratganj and 10 minutes from Chowk, this one is quite accessible. My firm used to book hotels in Gomti Nagar, but they’re a bit far away from Hazratganj.

Had to choose between Clarks and Regnant and chose the latter based on price. Clarks has been cranking rates up like anything.

Booked a club room and requested for a free breakfast which was provided seamlessly. Service was quick and easy nothing to complain about. I had the room with the main road view which also has a great sunset view for anyone interested. They also have a pool and a gym which frankly I was not expecting. Great business hotel with a seemingly a lot of social events happening. I stayed for 2 nights and they had all banquets booked apparently as there was a lot of crowd.

For dinner, went to their in house restaurant Envoy. Food was really good. Cocktails were a bit of a let down but that’s the case everywhere in Lucknow right now. The restaurant had an alfresco area which looked very romantic and nice. Attaching pictures.

Overall a great stay 8.5/10

Would not think before booking again. Great alternative to the overpriced taj and marriotts here.
