Android Word App often won't type the first letter of the first word I try to type in a document.

Pixel 8, Word App. I open up my "To Do" list for example and enable edits. I try to type something like "Litter" and I will get "Itter". Capital i but no L. Of course I just went and tried to make it do it and I can't make it do it. But this has been happening for a couple years. :) Drives me crazy.
