File Hangs on "Filter"

I am applying a filter to my excel sheet the moment I apply it, the file hangs. I have done everything I know to repair it but to no avail.

I have extremely important data on this file with almost a whole year of working.

Even if I try to clear the filter the file hangs. Please help!!
