Library encounter
Been going to the library in my current city for about 11 years. I know how to use the services. Tried to return my 3 books but only 2 went through and there was an error message for the 3rd one. It said bring to the service desk which sometimes happens if there is a reserve on the book or it's been reported missing or something
I brought it to the service desk and said I was trying to return this book but there was an error message saying bring to the desk. The staff barely listened to me and said lemme show you how to use the machine to return it. I said I tried it but there was an error message. She didn't even let me finish my sentence and said if you use the machine correctly it shouldn't give you an error message, here let me show you. I stayed quiet and let her try and she got the same message as well. She looked confused and said it's OK I'll deal with it and brought the book to the desk
Why do people treat you like an idiot or you don't know how to use a simple machine. I was offended at her saying it shouldn't give you an error if you use it "correctly" in a weird tone
So condescending for no apparent reason. Vent over
