Black cat during a full moon

I had a life changing experience on January 4th of this year . I have been thinking about reaching out about an experience I had one night . I have been drinking since I was in my early 20s, in the last few years it ramped up significantly after the loss of my brother. My drinking caused high blood pressure issues that caused me to be out put on medication .

Long story short , I was taking out the garbage on this night and noticed a full moon surrounded by clouds. Only the moon showed through which made it seem very unreal which I thought was mesmerizing. I had a drink with me…. And as I looked in the other direction … there was a black cat maybe 12 feet away from me . Now , I’ve never seen this particular cat in my neighborhood which I’ve been living in more than 10 years. The cat just sat there staring at me , I tried to make it come to me but it just sat there . Even as I stepped closer it did not move . I’ve been thinking about that moment mostly every day since then . That night was the last time I touched alcohol. I don’t even crave it anymore , it was almost like I was hypnotized . I have not encountered that black cat since then.

Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this ? Is there meaning about seeing a Black cat during a full moon and changing you?
