Phone number change taking longer than expected

I opted to change my phone number online due to a large surge of spam calls and strange whisking attempts, and so wanted a clean slate.

I went through the whole rather quick process, and thought I did everything right, but its been roughly 30 minutes and my number has yet to reset? I thought it was meant to be instant, but perhaps I was wrong.
