Should I just buy a used Rav4 Hybrid?

Generally what I want is: A good fuel-economic car that has decent cargo space and could eventually be used to tow a small to medium load (less then 1000 lbs)

Value safety and handling over speed, something that is easy to maintain and repair.

I've looked around and the Rav4 checks all the boxes but could consider something else.

I'm not totally sold on a compact suv, I currently drive a 2014 Yaris and that has served me well
