A calculator that feels right on an iPhone mini
Hi everyone !
I’m the developer of FastCalc, a native iOS calculator I originally built for myself as an iPhone mini user.
On iPhone mini, many calculators feel cramped: tiny buttons, rigid input flow, too many taps just to correct something. I wanted something that truly fits the mini form factor so I designed FastCalc around a few core ideas that work especially well:
- Large, easy-to-hit keys
- Live result while typing — no “=” key needed
- Permanent expression display — you always see exactly what you’re calculating
- Gesture-based input — swipe on keys to access secondary operators
It’s interface was carefully tuned to remain comfortable on the iPhone mini’s screen.
If you’re curious, there’s also FastCalc lite, so you can try the full interaction model without any ads.
