Any embouchure experts?

So, recently the trumpet playing conductor of our band was getting me to try the same embouchure he uses with puffing air behind the lips to inflate them. After a few minutes it started to work quite well and I hit a high note that might have made a dog whimper!

He's also had us experimenting with tongue position in our mouths. These are things that no teacher had ever touched on before in my life. I started about age 8 and now I'm 50.

There are also many YouTube offerings on this topic.
But, my question for the experts is, is there really a one size fits all, or " it works for me so it will for you".

Even better, are there any experts out there who can look at my face, my equipment, my playing need and actually suggest a tailored approach?
