Brisbane drinking water pH rise to 8.4 imminent

Heard this is has been in the pipeline (so to speak) since last year, but have just been advised at work it is going ahead in Autumn. A pH of 8.4 is at the top end of the recommended range, but still safe. It will increase scale build up in pipes, shower-heads etc. a bit. Was 7.8, so it's a decent increase (as pH is on a log scale).

Remember to de-scale your coffee machines more often!
