Sickness that just won’t go away

Anyone else have constant phlegm, sore throats, cough runny nose and it’s turning into an infection?

The dr prescribed bromphen and a cough suppressant but omg my oldest has been sick for a week and I don’t know how to help. I’ve done the remedies and it just seems to get worse ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. I haven’t had a nights sleep in a week and I’m starting to feel it. Please anyone have similar experiences. Just knowing I’m not alone would bring some comfort
