Do all relationships have argument phases? F 22 and m 22

To keep it short and simple, my partner and I never have small arguments with one another. But recently we’ve gotten into major arguments. We’ve never broken up over these but it’s gotten close. I know that arguing is normal, but do all couples get close to breaking up during arguments?

I’m wondering if this is a phase we’ll grow out of because it feels like these start from the smallest disagreements and turn into major sh*tshows. We never go to sleep angry though and always apologize in the end.

For context, we are both 22 and have been dating for 3 months now. But we were friends for a year before that. Thanks in advance for the help.
