I dont feel like im allowed to do a lot of stuff.
I dont know where else to ask about this. I feel like she gets on me for small things i wouldnt get on her for. I wanted to post this in a different sub but it wouldnt let me, so im just gonna post it here for now.
Like today: i drove forty minutes the other day to go to a korean store and got six servings of seaweed snacks. I dont like sweet stuff, am kind of a picky eater, and this is a good snack for me. I got other things for her like mochi and banana milk, She likes sweet stuff. I didnt get to eat even one of them, but i didnt complain when she told me because i figured shed probably get some packs from the store since she felt bad.
But then she got on me for using the dollar tree shampoo (that im pretty sure i bought her?) because i didnt have soap to use when she has four different options in the shower. She made sure that i would replace it like i dont always get us shampoo and soap?
She made a face at me when i wanted to make a new friend recently. Recently shes telling me i get my feelings hurt easily. She tells me what im allowed and not allowed to get when it comes to insects (i have two tarantulas and a mantis, theyre in my room she almost never comes in.. and i got rid of my isopod colony before i got my new mantis.) she always asks where im going when i leave the bedroom, and she gets upset when i dont hold her when she wants even when i have stuff i need to do. Shes been getting on my case for fighting for the stray cats in my town recently too. She gets on me for the thermostat being set to 71-72 for my reptiles because our room runs a little hotter even when i bought her a portable ac unit that fixes the problem. I have fibro/poor circulation and also cant have the house too cold or else my fingers start to get numb/harder to move. She asks what i want her to do when she hurts my feelings like i know exactly what will fix the situation.
I feel kind of crazy. Shes kind and caring and thoughtful but i do feel monitored and kind of bossed around. I dont know. Im seeing a therapist soon but just wanted to post here in the meantime. I feel like everytime we resolve something a new problem pops up that i have to solve. I feel like issues mainly arise when i bring up my feelings. They usually cant just be acknowledged, it seems like it always becomes a day long argument. Any advice would be appreciated. She really does care about me and is my best friend but i dont want to start to resent her for how shes making me feel.
