Senior with one dual enrollment F

I’m a senior who is applying to mostly UC schools.

I have received mostly A's thought highschool. However, I received an F in one dual enrollment community college course. The class is not required for graduation and not part of my A–G high school requirements. It was an elective taken through a local community college.

I’m trying to understand realistically:

• Would this automatically trigger rescind?

• Would they typically request an explanation first?

• Has anyone had a similar situation with a single CC F and kept their admission?
