bvb/dvm question

I am a first year bvb/dvm student and I was wondering if the ‘Animals and Us’ unit is required? When I selected my units I chose Bioethics as my elective cause I wanted to do something in philosophy (since all the core units are science based) but literally every bvb/dvm student i have talked to is doing animals and us so now i’m rlly worried lol. The bioethics isn’t specific to animals so idk if I chose the wrong thing, but it was available to select when I did the unit selections?? someone pls help 🙏🙏
