Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm looking to make a couple of friends that share some of my interests, my preferred way to chat would be over discord as reddit is meh and buggy.

Now you may ask, what are those interests? Well for starters I enjoy reading books, gaming and coding, if you're into any of those 3 do reach out! For books my current obsession is cosmere, I've listened to mistborn book 1 on audible and read The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance, currently debating which one to get next. Absolutely in love with what I've read up to now, very keen to discuss said books. Aside from cosmere, I'm a pretty big witcher fan, somewhat of a asoiaf enjoyer and also very fond of some japanese authors like Osamu Dazai and Kazuo Ishiguro! In the process of reading the remains of the day, as well as the name of the rose.

In regards to gaming I love fantasy rpgs to the death, Souls and especially Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring are among my favorite games ever with other franchises I enjoy being The Witcher, Dragon Age, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, The Elden Scrolls (though mainly skyrim). While some standalone games would be valheim, stardew valley, grim dawn and darkest dungeon. Currently I'm playing a lot of neverwinter the mmo, used to play back in 2020 and picked it up again almost 10 days ago, it's been great! IF YOU HAPPEN TO PLAY PLEASE DO REACH OUT! And when I feel too drained out to grind neverwinter I just turn into an arpg gamer playing either grim dawn or diablo 2 resurrected, still on the fence about getting the warlock dlc.

Coding wise, I am a web developer and mainly work with js, mern, astro, sql and java. Still a beginner in the field for all intents but happy to talk projects, courses or anything related. I'm really good at starting a projects getting it to 50% completion and dropping it!! On top of the things mentioned above, I've started learning flutter too, hoping to become okayish at mobile dev and create a couple of serious apps.

Feels like I've rambled quite a bit but to mention a few other things I am passionate about, I very much enjoy DND, though I've only been able to participate in one campaign, if you happen to be playing I'd very much love to connect! Similalrly I've been considering getting a bit more into board games and more specifically ttrpg/fantasy ones? Stuff like Gloomhaven or Warhammer Quest and so on. I am a tiny little bit into wargaming and have some 40k miniatures that are sitting half painted next to me as I am typing this post, poor them, they do deserve better :/

Lastly I shall just namedrop some shows, music artists and movies I like. Shows: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Ted Lasso, Shogun, Love Next Door, Frieren: Beyond Jounrey's End, Delicious in Dungeon, The faraway Paladin. Music: Florence and the Machine, Bad Bunny, IVE, Idle, NF, Eden. Movies: The Green Knight, Train Dreams, The Lord of the Rings, Nosferatu, Frankenstein, Good Will Hunting. Other things I enjoy but only now thought to mention: travelling, walking, nature, animals, listening to people talk about what they are passionate about.
