PWC ICAEW membership fee clawback — do they actually enforce it?

Hi all,

Quick question — has anyone here actually had their ICAAEW admission/membership fees clawed back after resigning from a Big 4 firm?

My firm reimbursed my ICAEW admission fee earlier this year, and there’s a clause saying you have to repay it if you resign within 3 months of joining membership. I’ve since handed in my notice and I’m trying to gauge how strictly this is enforced in practice.

Do they usually:

•	Automatically deduct it from your final payslip?

•	Only chase in some cases?

•	Or sometimes just let it slide?
