Player Databases

Good Morning/Evening wherever you may be! I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for my issue...

I was setting up a new save in the Scottish League and there is a lot of players missing from various teams! I have checked both through Scouting and clicking on each individual team to check for them (I know for a fact that they do indeed play for that particular team) and they point blank do not appear... To check if it was maybe a corrupted save I went back to the main menu and selected one of the teams to set up by selecting a team that definitely has one of the players I want, and those players still did not show up!

I checked my game setup and had all relevant Scottish leagues alongside other Nations with the maximum sized database if that helps?
