How to detach from my fast food job and finally quit
I don’t know if anyone else have this problem but I am prone to getting attached to my job. I am currently working at Raising Cane’s. And honestly I loved the job for the first 6 months or so. I’ve become super burnt out recently and plan on quitting. I like some of my coworkers. As any other fast food jobs, there are high school students working which comes with drama but it’s also nice to have people your age in your work environment. The hours are consistent which I really like. It’s not even like I’m super close to any of my coworkers. I don’t know why I am so attached to this place. But I realize I don’t want to stay in a place that obviously don’t value me as much since despite my efforts to getting to move up I see no progress. I’m slowly finding a new job and being one step closing to putting in my two weeks but I still have a lot of attachments to this place and sometimes I feel like it’s a little bit part of my identity. Does anyone has this struggle?
