Akai Mpk Mini IV , what do you Work With ?

Hi, I'm really Need into this topic and I just bought the Akai MPK Mini IV.

What kind of hardware/computer do you use? (laptop, tablet, desktop)

I currently only have an older laptop, which will probably make things a bit more difficult. What would you recommend? Are there any specific requirements I need to consider? Or will any reasonably modern computer be enough to Work With ?
