Nêfesh soul part 1

Everything begins when a 17-year-old student named Anima was sleeping in a classroom. He wakes up because of an urgent need and decides to go to the restroom at the back of the class. But no one dares to go there because that restroom is supposedly haunted by a child who died inside in terrible suffering.

Not believing in this legend, despite his teacher’s reminders and her attempts to persuade him otherwise, he decides to go anyway.

Standing in front of the restroom door, he feels a knot in his stomach because of the warnings, but he decides to open the door and go inside. Inside, he notices that every stall is in a pitiful state except for one. He decides to use that one, and while relieving himself, he turns his head and sees a face without eyes, with a wide smile, saying:

“I choose you.”

Panicked, he remains frozen in fear. His brain had not yet processed what had just happened, and by instinct he runs away screaming. All his classmates hear him arrive and ask what happened, but the words will not come out. He begins to faint little by little, and he wakes up in a world where time passes just as it does on Earth.

Anima, overwhelmed with panic, tries to understand where he is, how he got there, why he fainted… Seized by a surge of madness, he hears a young voice say:

“I will answer all your questions. You must first eat and drink. Tell me what you want and I will bring it to you,” says the young voice.

Anima takes a breath and asks for water and a piece of bread. Instantly, the water and the piece of bread appear in front of him. He suddenly SCREAMS and asks how such a thing is possible.

The young voice tells him to eat, drink, and go rest, and that she will explain everything when he wakes up. Confused, Anima listens to the young voice and follows the orders, then falls asleep.

While he sleeps, he sees memories that do not belong to him. He sees a young girl running away and crying, and without transition he suddenly wakes up, stands, and says:

“Now that I’m awake, come answer my questions.”

“Very well,” he hears in response.

He sees a young girl approach him and introduce herself. Her name is Nêfesh. She specifies that she is the one he saw in the restroom before he fainted, and that she chose him to take revenge.

Anima listens carefully and asks, “Why me and not someone else?”

She explains that he is one of the rare ones who can accept her power.

“POWER???” Anima replies.

Nêfesh answers, “Indeed. And I must clarify a few points, so do not interrupt me.

First, this is not your real body. Your real body is still in the school where you fainted. I removed your soul from your body and brought it here, and I gave it the shape of your body so as not to frighten you.

Second point: I chose you so that you can avenge me against the person who killed me. I will give you part of my power, which will evolve inside you and grow. You can see it as a candle that shares its flame with another candle.

Third point: in the end, when you are ready, I will send you back into your body. But time passes here the same as on Earth, so if it takes 10 years, you will be 27 years old on Earth, and your body will have changed, of course.

And last point: your body on Earth is still alive. Your heart is still beating, your lungs are still functioning at this very moment. But know this — your body is without a soul right now.
