Does anyone want to try my first program? I almost formatted my Sony card after a Lightroom export crashed. I needed a way to be 100% sure every RAW file had a corresponding JPEG/TIF in my library. Also handles video files.
--Withholding link because I am not sure this is allowed on this sub. I am just posting to see if anyone else wanted to use it.--
So I did this entirely with Google Gemini and I am blown away how easy it was for me to create this app from start to finish myself, someone who doesn't really code.
I had a very large data backup of a single project. I got about halfway done with editing them before I went to bed. I went back to edit the other files later and found my lightroom or Windows crashed. Rebooting I realized I was not able to tell 100% which of the files I was importing through USB C had made it onto the hard drive (without looking at each filename which is tedious). Or worse yet, like half saved videos that would be corrupt. So I worked with Gemini and think I have an app that works.
So basically you put the SD card folder, or wherever, in the first folder option. Then like me I had saved data between 2 folders so I included an option 2nd folder. The folders will be searched using the filename with filtering by file format, (mov, .jpg, etc.) or not.
If I had successfully move all of my files then the program will say nothing is missing on the hard drives but that is also on the SD card, or original source. If some files are missing this will let you know which so you can re-save them to the hard drive.
