Starting mat leave 1 week before due date?

Am I stupid to think I can work up until 1 week before my due date? I WFH 4 days a week but imagine I'll probably WFH full time come the end of my pregnancy.

I don't want to waste precious maternity leave waiting for the baby to come so would like to leave as close to my due date as feels sensible.... Should I give myself more grace?
