🔊 Hearing a noise when you shake your watch?

That’s a warning sign you should never ignore—especially on a Rolex Datejust Ref. 179174 (Caliber 2235).

This watch was brought to us with a concern about a rattling sound when shaken.

After a thorough inspection, we identified the real issue ⬇️

⚙️ Worn rotor axle / rotor post, causing excessive play

📉 Low amplitude (AMP), indicating the movement needed a complete service

✅ Rotor post replacement

✅ Full service maintenance

✅ Amplitude restored

✅ Smooth, silent, and healthy movement

💡 TRIVIA:

An automatic watch rotor should rotate silently.

Any grinding or rattling noise can lead to serious movement damage if ignored.

✨ Luxury watches don’t just need cleaning—

they require proper diagnosis, correct parts, and precise adjustment.
