Has anyone had any luck reclaiming something that was published on Amazon/Kindle by someone else?
Might be the wrong place for this post, so feel free to tell me to go somewhere else :)
Long story short, I wrote a short story on r/nosleep almost 10 years ago now and it got a decent amount of notice, winning the Best of October in 2016.
It was published in 30 Press Quarterly, so it's available in print and lists my real name (first initial and last name) as one of the contributing authors.
Back in 2023, someone published it on Kindle listing my Reddit name (the same account I'm posting this from) as the author. So because that name is different, I'm not able to claim it as mine for my Amazon Author account.
I reached out to Amazon a few different times over the last couple of years about it, but never got any responses. It's still listed there, so I know they haven't done anything about it.
Has anyone had anything like this before or know what can be done, if anything?
