Been stuck for a month trying to decide where to visit, to move. Help me out? Moving out of NYC to where?

So these are our options because of weather, weed and no-to-low state income tax

Arizona (Tucson)

Florida (maybe Ft. Lauderdale, maybe St. Petersburg. No clue right now.)

Texas (I know weed is not legal tho)

My partner and I are big potheads. We are sick of NYC. He is a blue collar worker but no certifications besides standard OSHA stuff. I want to lineup exactly where I want us to visit because the ball is in my park, it was my idea to move outta this money sinking hole.

The plan is to visit, and then decide if we want to settle for this new place once the lease is up here. But we want to visit and look around for a few days before we get a car and then get an apartment and line up schooling for him / his certifications to work (I’d be holding us down and proud of it haha). I am unsure how to help his future in a new state with little to no certifications so I’m also stuck there.
