Writing young adult at this age? Nah😭

Hi! Another day, another rant.

So, I am 30, and a man. Which might be surprising. (I'm just clarifying so nobody calls me bbg in the comments while replying assuming I'm a girl 😭)

I recently resumed writing on Wattpad. And i also have a short story uploaded...but ofcourse I wanted to write a book.

I was indeed interested in writing a YA academia centric book, but then I thought and thought.....and it just looks weird cause...wdym a grown ass man writing about teenage love story....? 😭And..I don't know..I'm so confused about the whole thing.

Should I write a mystery thriller? That'd be fun to write, but a really lengthy process. (Even thinking about it makes me nauseous and dizzy😭)

Sometimes I wonder if I should write a romcom, but ...all the tropes are so clichè...I am in a writer's block even before i have started writing..

General fiction practically doesn't work in Wattpad. So it's closed

I don't wanna write AI generated arranged marriage stories with a toxic bunch of characters.
