Time to Retire Creator 3 Pro

Question

Well, the creator 3 pro is getting harder and harder to get nozzles for. Unless a new, compatible hotend can be retrofitted, I think I’m better off just buying a new machine. Before someone comments, I know that asking for advice on a new printer is not allowed here, that’s not what this is about.

I’ve only cared to use PETG and PETG-CF, never bothered with anything else except PLA for support on odd parts. I’ve printed everything from brackets to small threaded parts with this thing for 5 years, it’s almost always running, and the only hiccup I ever had was occasionally cleaning out stripped filament from the feeder wheels when my filament slipped. I know a lot of people didn’t love this printer, but it’s made better prints than any other printer I’ve used or my friends had, it has a huge bed, and it only failed a handful of prints once it was tuned to the filament I use. I LOVE this printer. It’s a workhorse. If I can’t get a solution I may be forced to sell it.

I’ll head over to the purchase advise megathread for recommendations, but before I do, I want to know if anybody on here has info on updating the hotend so I can get nozzles without gambling on alibaba anymore. Flashforge doesn’t appear to be making them anymore, but plenty of shops in China still do. They work great, but sometimes they send the wrong size, or I’ll get steel (with or without the teflon tube) instead of hardened steel… it’s just too much to deal with.

Any help would be great.

TLDR: I love my Creator 3 Pro, I want to upgrade the hotend instead of selling it if anyone knows how.
