SIB Hades if I want fast runs but still care about story?

I’ve been on the fence about Hades for a while and wanted to get some opinions.

I like action games where combat feels tight and responsive, but I don’t always have time for long sessions. Short runs are a big plus for me. At the same time, I still want a reason to keep playing beyond just stats going up.

From what I understand, Hades mixes roguelite runs with story progression, where dying actually moves things forward instead of feeling like a reset. That sounds appealing, but I’m not sure how repetitive it feels after a while. Curious to hear honest takes before I pull the trigger.
