Anyone else trimming chin hair every 1–2 days? How do you prevent irritation and pigmentation?

Looking for help/advice

Hi everyone, I’ve been dealing with chin and jawline hair for a while now. I trimmed it just 2 days ago and it has already grown back noticeably. The regrowth is very fast and I feel like I have to trim every 1–2 days to keep it smooth. The problem is that constant trimming is starting to irritate my skin. My chin feels smooth only for about a day, then it becomes rough again because of the regrowth. Repeated hair removal is making my skin sensitive, and I’m scared that if this irritation continues, it might lead to pigmentation over time. I also have very dry skin, so frequent hair removal makes the dryness worse. Unfortunately, I can’t afford laser or electrolysis right now, so I’m looking for ways to manage this better at home. I’ve heard about spearmint tea and spearmint oil for reducing facial hair growth, but the internet seems divided. Some people say it helped them, while dermatologists often say there’s no strong evidence for topical oils. If anyone has tried spearmint tea (not oil), did you notice any real difference? I’m also slightly overweight (just into the overweight BMI category), and I’m wondering if this could be related to insulin resistance or higher testosterone levels. I’ve started focusing on weight loss and improving my diet to see if that helps long term. Has anyone noticed slower regrowth after improving their weight, insulin resistance, or overall metabolic health? For those of you who deal with trimming/shaving every 1–2 days: How do you prevent irritation and pigmentation? What products do you use after shaving? Has anything actually helped slow regrowth? Would really appreciate hearing real experiences. Thanks in advance 💛
