Robin’s unhealthy obsession with work
I wonder if and how Robin’s unhealthy focus on work will evolve in the next two books, any ideas? IMO she is too focussed on work and does not care enough about her personal life or health or hobbies. She’s also still so insecure about how she’s perceived at the office and it affects her decision making. I wonder if the therapist will raise this with her. I understand she clung onto it when it was new and she felt like she was reclaiming her life but now it seems imbalanced and she needs to detach from work and just… care less. She cares more than Strike does at this point about the agency.
Do you think she is using work as a proxy for Strike when she frequently wants to think about work or escape from her personal life? If Strike takes a break from the agency next book as has been speculated before, I wonder if she’ll realize (like Strike has) that part of the reason she loves her job is because she can spend time with Strike, and she won’t enjoy it as much without him.
