Can I complete the dex?

Downloaded the patch for delta iOS probably over a year ago, then got stuck and gave up. Decided to pick it up recently and have completed the story past Blue. Still getting “not enough badges” with some legendaries/mythicals (ho-oh, deoxys, latios (was able to catch latias)). Unsure if I can finish the dex with my current version, if so what are some points I need to hit for the badge glitch to stop. If not, can I rematch with a newer version and continue my current save? I’m near 200 on the dex and would love to not reset if possible.
