For those with Hashira OCs. If they have a Tsuguko (apprentice like Kanao is to Shinobu), how did they meet and why did they become the Tsuguko?

For Kodai, he met Iniya during a mission in the Entertainment District. Well, meet isn’t exactly the right word. She’d been born in Yoshiwara and when she saw him with his cool mask, gloves, outfit, and sword, she wanted to go with him. So, the night he left, she snuck out and followed him out of the city with nothing with her because she owned nothing.

Now Kodai isn’t exactly one for people, he prefers to be on his own, but he also enjoys company in small amounts. Iniya refused to go home, so he just decided to let her come with him. He ended up forging her first katana for her due to him constantly finding dead Demon Slayers and picking up their swords to melt down and use later (he’s a blacksmith). Despite being his Tsuguko, instead of learning Kodai’s Volcano Breathing, Iniya actually made her own by watching animals, specifically reptiles, moving and hunting throughout her travels with Kodai, and so she created Reptilian Breathing, which is closest to a combination of Beast and Serpent despite the fact that she doesn’t know either exist.
