I felt happy today
I wanted to share this anecdote that happened to me today so I wouldn't dwell on it. I went on a trip to visit my grandmother in the city where I grew up. I took the opportunity to see a childhood friend. We grew up experimenting with drugs; my favorites were morphine and tramadol. Then we started with cocaine, and everything spiraled out of control until I moved to another city. I kept using cocaine, but one day I said, "Enough!" And today was my trial by fire. We had been using morphine like before, reliving the old days. She was with her girlfriend; they had cocaine. They offered it to me, and I told them I didn't want it. Anyway, they poured it all onto a small mirror, and it was right in front of me, and I just stared at it. It was a mountain, haha. But I didn't even want a line; it was like I'd never heard of it or never used it. The whole thing was very strange, but I felt happy to be able to say no.
