Do Movie Prop Cigarettes Have Any Effect or Impact on Your Lungs?

I know in “Peaky Blinders” they used a SHIT load of them on set because well, people were CHAIN SMOKERS back then. I want to give them a try but the idea of “inhaling” anything burning into my lungs already sounds like in there could be health issues.

How safe are they?
