How do I make my Brant better?

Joined the game after a 1yr+ break and completely forgot about many mechanics and other knicks n knacks..

Is he good? Do I need better echoes?

He doesn’t crit much, so I’m slightly confused about that, even if his crit is approximately 60%.

I would also like to know about his current best teams (F2P).
