Me and the boys been talking crazy lately, saying we might roll through Chicago just to see where King Von used to live. Not on some tourist nonsense, more like paying respect to a legend whose music we’ve been blasting for years. We know Parkway Gardens isn’t Disneyland and people actually live there, so we’re not trying to disrespect anything or cause problems. Still, there’s that feeling like you’re stepping into a place you’ve only heard about in songs and stories. Part of me thinks it’d be wild just to stand there for a minute and say we saw it with our own eyes. The other part of me is like yeah… maybe we should remember it has the reputation it does for a reason. Either way it started as one of those late night “should we actually do this?” conversations that somehow keeps coming up again.
