how to completely avoid making amphetamine?

So I am studying chemistry by myself and I have gotten to the question on how i could as best as possible avoid making amphetamine. Things like which substances not to mix and exact procedures, because i think i am accidentaly starting to make speed, but im looking forward to make something different. Can someone give me instructions on how to completely avoid that?
