Great Hollow 4-crystal route spreadsheet (+recordings) for all 12 start/seed combinations

Gameplay Discussion

The Great Hollow has 3 possible starts and 4 crystal seeds. In theory, this means that if we have a logical method of quickly identifying the seeds via checking specific crystals close to a given start, one could make specific routes to quickly break crystals in any given start + seed combination. Linked below is a sheet describing some proposed routes:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TKQzHILCI2jmb5qP7H0ke_ov2Z4Qw_Dj4n59nDWSHSE

The route colors (red, blue, purple, green) are named according to the crystal seed map here.

Each of the potential 3x4 start possibilities has a recorded video route, with roughly estimated times to hit all 4 crystals solo. Every seed check required to confirm a given seed is performed, there is no guesswork here. The routing logic is described within, with pictures to identify where exactly you should look at to confirm a given crystal existence or not. If you follow the routing logic you will confirm the seed in at most 4 checks.

In many cases in trio play, teammates will likely hit a crystal outside this 4 crystal route which would mean you would only need to hit 3. Situations where this may occur are noted in the sheet.

Some variations (for underground church) existing are noted and recorded, though often this results in around ~30-45 second time loss.

In general, the fastest seeds take just over 2 minutes to solo break all 4 crystals (with the South start with immediate crystal at start clocking in at 2:05), with the slowest ones taking 3:30 minutes. Though someone might be able to improve the routing more, ultimately practicing a specific start/seed combination is difficult for me since its a 1/12 chance so some of the recordings are pretty unoptimized.

I am not saying you should unconditionally run off in your matches and try to break 4 crystals solo every time. However, maybe this information will allow you to clear crystals in a case where your team isn't finding them, or teach you something about the various connections between the 'islands' of the map, or maybe suggest some 'underchecked' locations that you can check with minimal time loss depending on start.

Doing Castle on day 1 can be pretty nice though. Sewers denizens like red Omen / Banished is worth ~32k runes and can be killed quite reasonably at low levels, and you can double ult using the crystal power to ensure relatively safe kills as long as you know you are hitting grace soon.
