Shorter multi scale basses
I understand that multi scale basses give you a better low B string because the optimal length for such a low string is noticeably longer than that of the G string.
But is it just a case of: the longer the better? Or are the relative lengths important? My 5 string is 35". I saw a multi scale bass I was interested in (Hils) but it's 35-33" or something like that. Will its B string be better than the one I already have?
