Beginner from India planning first sim racing setup — need buying advice

Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to sim racing and planning to build a beginner setup at home.

Details:

Country: India

Platform: PC

Budget: around ₹1,00,000–₹1,50,000 initially

Space: normal desk setup

Experience: beginner, mostly played arcade racing games before

I'm currently considering Logitech G29 but unsure if it's still the best starting point in 2026 or if I should save for something better.

My main questions:

1. Is G29 still a good beginner wheel today?

2. Should I buy a wheel stand immediately or start with desk mounting?

3. Which sim titles are best for learning proper driving technique?

4. Any beginner mistakes I should avoid before investing?

Would really appreciate advice from experienced sim racers.
