Just got into MSc Human Systems Engineering, Polytechnic Campus Advice

I am super excited but since I am an international student I am worried about housing and commute. Do you guys think I could live in the Tempe Area and commute to the Polytechnic Campus for my classes and job? I am planning on getting a car, since I know Phoenix is very spread out and car dependent
