The Mountain is in the band’s top 3

Yesterday I’ve attended a listening party of the Mountain, and while I’m aware that maybe the hype is speaking through me, this thing is easily one of the Gorillaz’ best albums in my ranking. Nothing will ever beat Plastic Beach for me, probably, and Demon Days just has to be up there due to its significance, but The Mountain IS the album OG fans were waiting for since 2010, I think. And don’t get me wrong, I’m a big big fan of post-hiatus Gorillaz — with Cracker Island being an exception — but I was so thirsty for a big concept album by them.

Just give it a listen front to back tomorrow, don’t skip singles even if you’ve heard them countless times at that point.
