why is there so much hate towards AI amongst the indie devs?

Whenever I see someone sharing something that made with AI, there is always a lot of comments bluntly undermining it. Yes AI usually generated slop, and it was clearly identifiable but at this stage it is basically a skill issue. AI has gotten incredibly better especially since last December.

I understand some people feel threatened by the AI and eventually maybe we all are, but if you are not using AI you are simply falling behind, taking a stance won't change that.

If there is any reason other than people projecting their own insecurities towards others, i'm curious to learn. Why there is such hate?
