How does a man become father?

How does a man become father? Does paying expenses alone really make a man father?

A man who is paying all expenses of his son but understanding no other responsibilities like talk to his son, connect mutually, teach him new things or teach him life lessons etc. He has worst relationship with her wife, if they talk naturally like every other couple, then it is a very rare scenario. He doesn't talk for months to his wife. And even wife doesn't ask for anything like expensive gifts, jewellery, clothes, etc. nothing but love. But the man is more inclined towards his mother and his brother. Mother is ok but brother is growing I'll fillings in his heart for his elder brother. All other people only wants bad for him and only his wife, children want good for him. But his behaviour is totally opposite, best relationship with brother but worst with wife. And he is paying all the expenses of his son but her wife always remain alone. He is not a good father, not a good man but a good son and brother for those who always conspire malicious. The man is also in pressure of family responsibilities, he lives in a joint family and managing whole 11 members family alone, married 3 of her sisters. So financially he is also not well, but there is nothing to talk about financially, neither his wife nor children want money, they just want love that they deserve. He can't provide a luxury life but he can maintain good relationship but he doesn't.

Now one of the children is started hating his own father and he doesn't want to love him. Does this type of man should be called father?
