Gamesir G4 Pro + Meta Quest

You want to play Geforce now on your meta quest browser, got a Gamesir G4 pro but you're enraged because it doesnt work at all even after pairing, the browser wont recognise it ? You're in the right place my friend ! I've tried looking for a solution in forums, ChatGPT, Gemini, nothing they suggested worked. Chat GPT was explaining to me what could be the problem but was just 2 or 3 lights years from it. Gemini suggested i needed to swtich my G4 Pro to Xbox/IOS/ purple mode. Here we go. Problem number 2, the controller was suddenly stuck in android mode and could onky switch between adroid (blue) and X input/PX(green) but no red, nu purple. No matter what i did, flushed the bluetooth cache, performed a hard reset with a paperclip, it stayed stuck in android mode.

Only solution left, find a way to update or flash the controller firmware. Went and got the Gemsir App from the playstore on my phone, paired my controller with my phone and guess what? When i tried to update the firmware is stayed stuck on veryfying the current version 😅... an other problem !!!! Turns out, you need to unpair, turn off the controller, turn it back on again but instead of pairing using settings (android) you need to pair it directly with the Gamesir App ! It detected firmware version 0.0.0.000 .. not good. It did its update it took about 5 minutes.

Now im happy, the controller booted in purple ios xbox mode, so my troubles are over right ? Not quite.

Put the meta quest back on, having a bit of trouble getting this purple flashing nightmare to be detected by the Quest, mainly because the light was flashing too slow in the Gamesir, there for it was not in the proper mode so i turn it off, and reboot it in X input mode (green) turn it back off and reboot it again in purple mode, now it flashes quickly, now meta quest sees it as XBoX controller so now my troubles are over right ? No quite.

I pair the controller with meta. And finally the browser accepts my controller's input. So i try and launch the Witcher 3 ti test it. I run inti a few issues but end uo being able tk launch the game, but once in it, there is not a single button on this controller that does the right thing, they're all messed up. So without quitting the game, i swich again to android mode and re-pair it , and suddenly voilà... everything finally works 😅
